TURNABLE TUFFETS

Turnable Tuffets combine a modular seating system with large-scale wall art, allowing the user to expand their social seating capacities with rounded forms that naturally function as a deconstructed conversation pit. Featuring both a hard side and a soft side, Turnable Tuffets can be used as firmly upholstered floor cushions, stacked to form a dining height seat, or flipped over to become table surfaces. In their “off” position, Turnable Tuffets can stack vertically to become a colorful wall installation. The interrelated shapes were created by tracing the forms of people in varying seated positions.
