Stage Design

A temporary performance stage designed to showcase a program of diverse street performers assembled at the Virgin Mobile Freefest to raise funds and awareness for youth homelessness. Buskers were sought from six major cities around the US and flown to the Freefest to perform on their own stage in support of Virgin Mobile’s ReGeneration program. Build materials consisted of iconic elements of the street - steel, plywood and over 300 traffic cones. Set amidst a lush wooded area, the bright orange stage was a beacon of festivity. This pop-up architecture was engineered in collaboration with the architectural firm EFGH, who helped develop and implement a structure that could be erected within a matter of hours.
